I very rarely leave reviews, however, Northwest Career College is very deserving of one. I decided to go back to school and start a new career. Let me start by saying my two favorite instructors Ms.Cheryl and Ms.Alexis are both wonderful teachers who really care. I’m in the medical assistance and the phlebotomy program and any and every question i’ve had the people at NCC are willing to go above and beyond to make sure i get those questions answered. I never felt more comfortable at any institution before. Right from the moment i walked in the building everyone i interacted with was amazing. I hadn’t been in school in over 15 years and believe me when i say i’m glad i picked Northwest. I would recommend anyone that’s looking to go to a school that truly cares about your education and is hands on to come and join the NCC family.

I am 3 months into my program and absolutely love it! From the first time meeting Chuck to meeting both my instructors everyone has been amazing and supportive of my journey. The only criticism I can really give is that I wish there was more class time because I love coming to class every week!

I just want to say a huge thank you to Ms. CAS, Ms. Cheryl, and Charles , Amanda Johnston. Working with them has been such a great experience. They were super helpful, patient, and always there when I needed support. You can really tell they care about what they do and about helping people succeed.

They made sure I was ready and confident to take the next step in my career, and I’m honestly so grateful for everything they’ve done. It’s not every day you come across people who go the extra mile like they do.

Thanks again — I appreciate y’all more than words can say!

I’m in my second mod at Northwest Career College, and honestly, it’s been a great experience so far. Even though I’m just getting started, I already feel motivated and supported. The instructors really take their time explaining things so it actually makes sense, not just reading off slides or rushing through. They’re patient and genuinely want to see us do well.

One thing I really appreciate is how the whole environment feels positive and welcoming. From the front desk to the teachers, everyone treats you with respect and kindness. You can tell they care about you, not just as a student, but as a person. They check in, they help when you need it, and they actually listen.

I’ve learned a lot and I’m glad I chose NCC. I’m looking forward to everything that’s ahead. If you’re thinking about getting into the medical field and want a school that’s supportive and hands-on, I’d definitely recommend giving Northwest a shot.

Best wishes to you,

Romone is great and always puts out all the stops for our kids. We took a group of 33 Valley High School students to tour the facilities and the school was hospitable and gracious with their time and education. They share a lot of valuable information for our students to pursue a higher education.

Attending this school has been the best experience of my academic journey, especially as part of the IT program. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and truly passionate about helping students succeed. The hands-on labs, real-world simulations, and access to current technology have given me a strong foundation in areas like networking, cybersecurity, and computer systems. Beyond the technical skills, I’ve also developed important soft skills like communication and teamwork. The school fosters a collaborative environment where both students and faculty are always willing to help. I feel confident and well-prepared for a future in IT, and I highly recommend this school to anyone looking to pursue a career in this field. My instructor Baron and Mr. Joe were such a big help! The director of this program ( Mr. Tony) was the the top of the top ! He really made me believe I could do anything.

I had an amazing experience at Northwest Career College in Las Vegas through their Phlebotomy program. From start to finish, the program was well-structured, hands-on, and incredibly supportive. The curriculum gave me the confidence and skills I needed to succeed not just in the classroom, but also in a clinical setting.

A huge shoutout to my instructor Mrs. Stephanie she was absolutely phenomenal! Their teaching style was clear, engaging, and patient. They made sure every student understood the material and felt comfortable practicing venipuncture and other techniques. Their dedication truly made a difference in my learning journey.

Thanks to this program and the guidance of my instructor, I successfully passed my Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) exam on my first try! I'm so grateful for the knowledge and confidence I gained here. I would highly recommend Northwest Career College to anyone looking to start a career in phlebotomy or healthcare in general.

When I first started school, I was a little nervous because I hadn’t been back to school in three years, but I had an extremely warm welcome from every instructor and staff and honestly had the best school experience. I could’ve asked for with unlimited amounts of encouragement and help if I could choose any school to go back to it will definitely have to be ncc. They are supportive and encouraging and believed in me when I didn’t even believe in myself I absolutely love the school and can’t wait to come back in September for the phlebotomy course!!

Phlebotomy Technician FAQ

Q. What exactly does a Phlebotomy Technician do?

A Phlebotomy Technician collects blood specimens via venipunctures and dermal punctures. They also are responsible for other types of specimen collection, including urine, sputum, and drug testing, to name just a few. Phlebotomists play a vital role in patient care and well-being. You can possibly be employed at laboratory facilities such as Quest, LabCorp, blood donation centers, dialysis centers, and hospitals.

The Phlebotomy program is a 12-week program that starts every 3 months at Northwest Career College.

The Phlebotomy Technician program requires the student to have a high school diploma or a GED to begin the program. Once accepted into the program, the student must successfully complete all modules and take a nationally recognized certification exam (CPT~Certified Phlebotomy Technician) accredited through National Healthcareer Association (NHA). PASS the certification exam and graduate with a 70% or higher. Once the student passes their CPT, the Phlebotomy Career Services advisor will submit an application for the student to be granted their Nevada State Lab Assistant License, which is needed to work as a Phlebotomist in the state of Nevada.
