John is originally from Clarksville, TN, and attended Kenwood High School and the Austin Peay State University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Health and Human Performance as well as qualifying as a Registered Medical Assistant.

John has been in the medical field since 2005 working in various jobs and assignments starting by joining the United States Navy and becoming a corpsman.

He has worked at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Naval Hospital Corpus Christi for his military assignments.

After the military, he worked in civilian medical clinics in pediatrics and internal medicine. He has also worked in several departments including family practice, pediatrics, laboratory, pharmacy, internal medicine, college health, and dermatology.

John’s professional passions are to excel at attention to detail, exceptional patient care, and leading by example. His personal passions are playing sports, fishing, disc golf, watching football, learning something new as often as he can, and promoting positive personal growth.

For John, the best thing about working for NCC is the ability to come to work and know that he is making a difference in someone’s life by teaching the students professionalism and necessary skills to perform at a high level while providing compassion and exceptional patient care.

In his spare time, John’s hobbies include disc golf, bowling, video editing, hiking, and playing piano and guitar.
