Born in Bellflower, California, Akia was raised in Lynwood, California, where she attended Lynwood High School before she moved to Las Vegas with her two sons. Having decided tath nursing was not the career for her, Akia obtained her Pharmacy Technician License from PIMA here in Las Vegas.
As one of our Pharmacy Technician Instructors, Akia is passionate about passing on her knowledge to the students here at NCC and sampling the delights of our fancy coffee machine, of course.
In her spare time, Akia can be found collecting crystals, playing video games, and indulging in her passion for getting all her family around the same table by cooking for them.
