Massage

I was recently traveling and observed that people often seek massage as a form of relaxation while on vacation.  That is absolutely terrific!  However, it is also somewhat perplexing to think that someone will put off receiving massage just when they may really need it.  They instead wait until they are on vacation.  Some say they wait because that is only time they can do it, which really does not make any sense to me.  Life is all about choices.

When should people choose to get a massage?  Whenever they want or whenever they can.  However during times of great stress, tension, or when one is experiencing minor muscle aches or pains – these are important times for pursuing massage.   It seems that we most need massage just when we think we cannot fit another appointment into our busy schedule.  That is exactly when getting a massage may best help you cope with the challenges at hand.  Although it may not seem doable at the time, it really is! This is not about self-indulgence, it is just a choice to make massage one of the methods you use to  help take care of yourself.

All it takes is an hour….one hour of massage to refresh, reboot and rejuvenate.  Massage is like a mini-vacation. That one hour hiatus from insanity can serve to clear your mind and allow you to confidently tackle all that is waiting for your attention, whether it is work, family issues or a more serious life crisis.

So, next time you go on vacation, go ahead and get a massage.  It will be like hitting your life’s reset button.  That’s one of the main reasons we go on vacation, to get away from the hectic, day-to-day grind.  But when you return from vacation, and your next trip is off in the far distant future, and you find yourself back in the midst of a crazy, mind-numbing schedule, make another appointment and see if receiving massage makes any difference.  I am confident that your ability to manage the day-to-day madness will really be improved.

So, do not just wait for vacation to get a massage, make massage therapy part of your personal, healthcare wellness plan.  You won’t regret it!  In fact, when you receive massage regularly, overall you may feel more grounded, more alert, more centered, more focused, you will sleep better and cope better with everyday stress and pain.  Massage is so worth it!  Pick up the phone and call (702) 524-7577 today to make an appointment at Northwest Career College’s Massage Student Clinic.  Appointments are readily available and the price is right.  It will be just what your vacation-craving body will need!
