Biography

Tony Madero was born in Tampa, Florida and proudly served 22 years in the United States Army as a telecommunications, communications security, and information technology professional. During his military career, he supported global operations with assignments in the Republic of Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Australia, and Uzbekistan. His technical expertise includes telecommunications, cyber defense, information assurance, satellite and microwave communications, and secure radio systems. For his leadership and service in combat environments, Tony was awarded two Bronze Star Medals.

Following his retirement from the Army, he pursued higher education and worked in cybersecurity for a Payment Gateway company, protecting sensitive cardholder and financial data. He is currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems with a specialization in Computer Forensics. At Northwest Career College, Tony is passionate about collaborating with faculty and staff who share a commitment to student success and professional excellence. He values the positive culture, teamwork, and dedication found throughout the campus community. Tony enjoys mentoring students and helping them build both technical skills and professional confidence for careers in Information Technology and Cybersecurity. In his free time, he enjoys bowling, reading, hiking with his family, family movie nights, and discovering new experiences together.
