The Automotive Technician Program is designed to prepare graduates for careers in automotive service, maintenance, and repair environments. Individual didactic courses may be delivered through blended or full distance education. Instruction is provided through online lectures combined with hands-on training conducted via web camera or in a classroom lab setting. Externship is completed in a residential manner within approved automotive service facilities, dealerships, fleet maintenance operations, or related automotive industry sites. Upon satisfactory completion of the program detailed below, students will be granted a diploma in Automotive Technician from NCC and will be qualified for entry-level automotive technician and related automotive service positions. A computer meeting the technical specifications listed under Computer System Requirements in the Academic Policies section of the catalog, along with internet access, is required for completion of this program.
